Cooking With Food For Life

Last week a group of our volunteers, supporters, and friends joined us for a special cooking class with our grantee Food For Life. The class took place in the Food For Life kitchen and included three courses (soy-cured salmon, pureed root vegetable soup with duck, and a napoleon hazelnut dacquoise).

Marisa, the chef and founder of Food For Life, led the group through preparing each item while also sprinkling in some of her expert cooking tips along the way. She also shared with the group the story of how she decided to switch careers to become a chef and dedicate her work to empowering youth. Click here for more pictures from the event.
