We previously shared that DCSIP had the honor of attending the scholarship celebration for 2011 grantee Press Pass Mentors, where they graduated their second class. The program pairs students who aspire to go to college with professional writers who mentor them on a weekly basis with a focus on honing their writing skills in preparation for applying to and succeeding in college. After completion of the 18-month program, participants receive a scholarship to support their higher education endeavors.
